What Antibiotics Would Be Safe For Red Itchy Skin Rashes After A Tick Bite With Heart Problems And Stroke?

My mother has been suffering for 20 years after a deeply imbedded tick bite on her upper arm (which we were unable to remove). She developed large bullseye rashes on her back, upper thigh, back of her shoulders, severe muscle pain that moved around, erythema nodosum on her legs, severe fatigue, inflamed tendons, and red, itchy rashes. She has tested positive for 9 bands on the IGG western blot test, but none on the IGM test. She was treated with IV Rocephin and oral antibiotics for months, and all symptoms resolved, but she is now developing fiery red itchy rashes on her arms, legs, tops of feet, and ankles, and is in misery. I can attach a photo if there is a way. She has heart problems and has had a stroke, so we are wondering what type of antibiotics would be safe. Do red, fiery, intensely itchy rashes on arms, lower legs/ankles and tops of feet indicate a specific type of Lyme? YYYY@YYYY

Hi,Welcome to Health care magic forum.
As you describe it appears to be the lime's disease, not identified early. It needs to be treated with tetracycline, for a prolonged period.
I usually prescribe to my patient with such itching levocitrizine, montelekast till there is relief, only for temporary relief.
I advise you to consult a physician for diagnosis and treatment, by monotering the relief.
Wishing for a quick and complete recovery.Thank you.
