What Are A Heterogenous Signal In The Myometrium And Small Nabothian Cysts In The Cervix According To A Scan?

Hi, my uterus measures 9.9 *4.5 cm and have heterogenous signal in myometrioum and endometrial stripe is 1 cm with small nabothian cysts in the cervix. Small amount of free fluid in the pelvis and multiple dilated vascular structures surrounding the uterus. I have my period every 4 days for a week long. I have pelvic pains in a very regular basis that it s affecting my life. I have appointment to see consultant next week. What could this be?

Hi,

The report findings might indicate the possibility of adenomyosis and this can be responsible for your disturbing period pains. This is a benign condition and can be controlled with medicines. The Nabothian cysts in the cervix are not significant.
