Hello,

If the pain and the lump have been there for less then 2 weeks very likely this is due to muscular strain that causes muscle fibers to tear and may cause pain and a feeling of a lump in the area. You can take paracetamol and ibuprofen to help with the pain and use local compresses as well.
If the pain and the lump is for more then 2 weeks or you notice no improvement with the above measures in 4-5 days or you have any worsening please see your doctor.

I hope I have answered to your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
