My two year old son has broken out really bad.fron the beginning he thought he had viral pink eye..no rash just red itchy eyes then as we treated him for two days he woke up the next morning with littl red bumps all over his face...he also has a ear infection.could this be the reason for the rash or could it be something else..symptoms are runny nose, low grad fever, loss of appetite, lots of reb bumps on he face and now spreading to his neck.

Thanks for your query, I have gone through your query.
The rashes over the face associated with fever is usually seen with viral infections like herpes or varicella zoster virus infection. Nothing to be panic, consult a general physician and get it evaluated. It is a self limiting condition. Nothing to worry.
I hope my answer will help you, take care.
