What Are Delayed Periods And Negative Result In Pregnancy Test Suggestive Of?
hi good evening..i was wondering if i could be pregnant..my last cycle was 4/13 and i am late..went to the dr last week and my pregnancy test (urine) is negative..during intercourse last night i thought my peroid started but it didnt continue..now i am confused...
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern...
Sometimes delayed periods could be caused by reasons such as 1. hormonal disturbance such as thyroid disorder 2. excessive stress 3. excessive weight gain or weight loss can also cause delayed periods 4. ovarian problem or disease of pelvic organs such as PCOS etc. 5. Excessive exercise can also cause delayed periods
You should also confirm your non pregnant condition by going for blood test for pregnancy (test for beta HCG) or transvaginal utrasound. These two tests are more specific & would rule-out possibility of pregnancy.
If you are non-pregnancy by one or both of these tests then you should consult a gynaecologist for treatment of delayed periods.
Hope this information helps
