What Are Extreme Fatigue, Dark Urine, Weight Loss And Lack Of Appetite Suggestive Of?

My husband is 69 yrs old. He is fatigued, sleeps more than usual, sometimes 9 or 10 hrs. This is very unusual. Today & yesterday his urine was orangish, darker than usual after going to the bathroom twice during the night. He has lost 20 or more pounds over the last several months, and often is not hungry. He used to be up to 230 #, now he is even going down below180#. He is taking prednisone for a bowel obstruction and bloating. His bowel movements are sporadic but not light. He is on Zeralto, because of a pulmonary embolism 10 years ago. He s taking iron, Centrum silver, B 12 mega shots once per month, VitA , Vit C.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

If symptoms persist, it is better to consult a physician and get evaluated.

We have to rule out possible causes like fibromyalgia also.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
General & Family Physician
