What Are Medication For Irritation And Frequent Urinating Problem?

My 6 yr old daughter was having irritation and frequent urinating problem.
I am giving 5ml citralka liquid with water thrice a day for past 5 days . Since yesterday I reduced the dose to two times a day as there was no irritation . This frequency is necessary as the frequency of urine passing increases after 10 or so hours later. How long should I continue with citralka? Does she need antibiotics? ( Citralka was suggested by a doctor ( a family friend) and said antibiotics are not necessary as the symptoms are mild)

Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic

In some mild or early cases of urinary tract infection, the use citralka (to alkanize the urine ) and cranberry juice may be able to stave off infection but is it has persisted for 5 days, you may want to have her see her doctor for her urine to be tested.

This would involve a simple dipstick of the urine in the office to check for indicators of infection. A sample would then be sent to the lab to determine which bacteria is causing the infection and how best it might be treated.

I hope this helps
