Hello. Thank you for writing to us at healthcaremagic
Having sex with a stranger carries the risk of STD's. Even protected sex does not guarantee protection against all STD's.
Genital Herpes, Genital Warts,
Molluscum contagiosum can be transmitted despite using a protection because a condom does'nt cover the whole of infected surface that comes into contact during sexual contact.
Herpes, can be detected by a
blood test for herpes i.e HSV ELISA for type 1 and type 2 virus. This test can be done earliest at 2 weeks.
Warts and Molluscum have a variable
incubation period may not make an appearance for weeks or months.
Therefore, if you notice any growth or bumps or erosions on the genital area you must get yourself checked with a venereologist.
Nevertheless a condom protects against common STD's HIV, syphilis,
Gonorrhea, chlamydia and the risk of these is negligible with protected sex.
