What Are Nosebleeds, Headache, Fatigue And Memory Issues Suggestive Of?

My 18 year old son was woken up by a bloody nose, went to take care of it fell down blacked out got up went back to bed didn't wake up for over 8 hours still feels weak headache and now com[plains of a stomach ache has been feeling weak and tired all weekend he has a headache for three days. said he can barely remember what he did all weekend.

Hi Dear ,

Welcome to HCM,

As per your query you have nosebleeds, headache, fatigue and memory issues . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query infection , trauma, hypertension , use of blood thinning medications and alcohol abuse .

But in your case it seems to me that the symptoms are either due to hypertension or sinusitis .Other possibilities may include allergic rhinitis and common cold that you can rule out by yourself.

I would suggest you to consult cardiologist for proper diagnosis . Doctor may check vitals , may order ECG , TMT and complete blood profile . Doctor may prescribe betablockers , diuretic or calcium channel blockers . Doctor may also refer you to neurologist for memory issue or ENT specialist condition like nasal polyps .

For now take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain and take steam thrice a day . Also apply ice pack to nose .
