General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
Your signs are suggestive of an upper respiratory tract infection. Whooping cough is suspected due to your prolonged cough. I would advise you to continue with the antibiotic regimen provided, take Tylenol or paracetamol for fever as needed generally 1tab every 6to 8 hours, cough suppressants to help you sleep at night like dextromethorpan and symptomatic measures. You might try drinking some warm soup with pepper or ginger in it for a soothing effect to your throat.Take adequate rest and remain hydrated, you will get better in no time.
I find this answer helpful
