What Are Rash Like Marks On Arms And Legs Of A Teenager Suggestive Of?

My 13 year old daughter keeps getting what she claims is bug bites when she sleeps. They look like very large mosquito bites, but there are no bugs in the house. I m inclined to thing it s a rash or reaction to something. 10 to 12 marks total on left arm and left leg.

Hi,

Understanding your concern. As per your query, your daughter has symptoms of rash-like marks on arms and legs of a teenager which can occur due to conditions contact dermatitis, severe allergic reaction due to an animal bite, or an insect sting. Need not to worry. I would suggest you consult a dermatologist for proper examination. The doctor may prescribe antihistamine along with corticosteroid ointment. Maintain complete hygiene. For now, you should apply Benadryl. You should drink plenty of water and fluids and apply cold compresses and avoid any cosmetic product. You should avoid itching or pricking rashes.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
