Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Are Recurring Pain In Upper Left Quadrant Of Back Suggestive Of?
I have been having severe intermittent pain in the upper left quadrant of my back for several weeks. No hx of trauma but now have a large bruise there. The pain now seems related to movement. Have a history of severe degenerative disc dz and am on a supervised program for pain control which should have made pain like this impossible. Help?
I think this can be related to previous history of degenerative disc disease. Also it may be related to staying position or using the left arm mire than usual doing certain movement such pulling things. Take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain relief and inflammation. Do a X-ray of toracal spine and also left scapulohumeral articulacion.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
