What Are Recurring Red Spots On The Lips Of Children Indicative Of?

Both of my children get recurring red pots on there lips. They come and go with no pain and never break open or ooze. They disappear with in a few days usually but both of my children get this at the same time. I'm not sure what to think or where to turn

Thanks for the query..

Red painless spots on lips of your children can be due to viral infection or herpes while can also be allergy related or inflamed oil glands..

Next time when they get the bumps, consult an Oral Physician or skin doctor and get them evaluated..

For viral infection antiviral medication like Acyclovir oral and topical application will be advised..
If it is allergic then the allergen has to be ruled out an exposure should be avoided..
