What Are Recurring Sharp Pain In The Lower Back And Abdomen Suggestive Of?
About 5:00 last night I started having sharp pains in my lower right back. Before long it was also in my abdomen. I kept vomiting even though nothing in my stomach. About 11:00 it subsided and was all ok by about 3:00 am this morning. It is now about 2:00 pm and my back is starting to hurt again. What should I do?
As a first line management you can take analgesics like paracetamol or aceclofenac for pain relief.
If symptoms persists you can consult an orthopaedician and plan for an MRI scan to rule out spine related problems like prolapsed disc or nerve compression.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
