Hi,
In the current scenario, you should exclude pregnancy if you are sexually active without any contraception. Else, the spotting suggests impending ovulation or hormonal imbalance leading to breakthrough bleed. In either case, you would need further assistance after a proper evaluation. Please get a trans-vaginal sonogram along with estimation of serum beta-hCG titres to exclude/confirm pregnancy and see a specialist for further management. You may also need blood counts, urinalysis and hormonal profile. Hope this helps.
