What Are Side Effects Of Missing Few Days Of Citalopram?

I forgot to refill my citalopram prescription for a few weeks. Just got it about 6 days ago but have been a raging lunatic and verbally destroying my family and those around me. What are the side effects of doing this and will it get back to normal when I get enough in my system or do I need to switch to something else as this may not be working for me anymore - also have no libido whatsoever

The most common side effect of skipping anti-depressants (or any medication for that matter) is a return of the condition that the medication is treating. In the case of anti=depressants, irritability, anxiety and/or depression are the common things. This generally goes back far far faster than the 3 to 4 weeks it takes for the initial treatment effects to begin. Generally about a day or two in my experience.
