Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Are Stiffness And Pain In Lower Back Radiating To The Groin Area Suggestive Of?
My husband has complained of lower back stiffness and pain on the right side of his lower back (around the kidneys) and now is complaining of it moving into the groin area on the right side. He has passed a kidney stone in the past, and is wondering if these are symptoms of that.
First of all it's sad to know what your husband had been going through lately.
Based on the history you have shared, it can be a recurrence of renal stones as symptoms suggest so an ultrasound and Xray KUB is recommended at earliest.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
