What Are Swelling And Pain In Right Scrotum Suggestive Of?
Experiencing some swelling and pain in right scrotum. Seems to be more in the tissue tubes next to testicle. First appeared as I awoke yesterday. Has been taking ibuprofen and seems be some better today. Still have some swelling and feel dull ache on right groin area. Have not injured to my knowledge but do outside work activities daily. I m 68 yrs old. Any help would be appreciated.
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. What problems you are describing pertaining to swelling and pain in the scrotum could be arising out of infection of testis and epididymis called 'epididymo-orchitis'. Kindly get a scrotal ultrasound scan and urine routine examination done. You need to consult Surgeon with the report for clinical evaluation. You would require a course of antibiotics along with analgesic medication to counter the infection. Kindly follow the advise as would be given by your doctor. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
