What Are Symptoms Of A Hernia In The Esophagus And Is Surgery Required To Repair It?
What are symptoms of a hernia in the esophagas? What will surgery consist of to repair it? I keep having a foam type liquid coming up even during the night making feel as if I am drowning until I can catch my breath. I have had surgery in 1999 for achalasia.
Hi...there occurs no hernia in the esophagus it occurs arround it where it enters the abdomen... symptoms include heart burn and acid in mouth on lying down especially after a heavy meal or after tea, coffee or chocolate...there is another thing that is esophageal diverticle..an out pouchig..where food gets collected and comes back into mouth after a day or two especially on lying down and there is gargling sound also...you seem to fit in the first case...get a endoscopy done to confirm...
