What Are The After Effects Of Dog Bite?

Hi all, my sister was bitten by our pet dog slightly wounded her left arm 2 days ago. Our pet is vaccinated, do we have something to worry about? She haven t taken any anti-rabies shot yet. She had washed the wound thoroughly. Thank you for your response.

Hello. I just read through your question. Sorry about the bite.
Since the dog is a known dog and can be observed, there is no reason to take rabies shots right away. If the dog shows signs of rabies, then the person who was bitten must being the rabies shot series. If not, then there is no need for rabies shots at all.
Since this dog belongs to you and is vaccinated, it is unlikely that shots will be needed.
If any skin was broken by the bite, I recommend using an antibiotic ointment (ie: bacitracin, neosporin, etc..) Three times per day yo prevent infection.
