Hello dear,
Painful bumps are usually from soft tissue infection, and will resolve with antibiotics. If she had the completed the antibiotic course, and still it is there,we have to evaluate. It may be because, there is a pus collection that needs incision and drainage. If not,we have to get an x-ray of the region to see what is there(may then need further imaging studies).Only on direct examination of the site,we can have a clear idea.Your doctor will guide in this.
Wishing her a faster cure.Thank you.
