What Are The Causes And Symptoms Of Chronic Cystitis?
Hi, I was diagnosed with bladder cancer a year ago. First TURBT was done then the scar tissue was abnormal so a second TURBT was done while taking biopsies. My bladder was given a third look and biopsies were taken from various parts of my bladder and i was given direct dose of mitomycin C then BCG once a week for 6 weeks - results came in all clear. Had another Cystoscopy a month after treatment was given and got an all clear. 6 months later had another Cystoscopy and some mucus was found, they said that it doesn t look like recurrence and COULD BE chronic cystitis - I need to wait another 6 weeks for results...what is your opinion on this?? is it common?? could it be something worse? im very worried!!!! Please answer as soon as possible thanks
Hello Thanks for query .You had been detected to have bladder cancer and TURBT was performed to resect the tumor.
Subsequent treatment has been given as per protocol to treat non invasive bladder cancer and recurrence of tumor was ruled out by doing Cystoscopic examination at regular intervals which showed bladder cleared and free from recurrence ..
It is common to get inflammation of bladder (Cystitis)after resecting the tumor which gets resolved in few months .
There is nothing to be worried about it .
