What Are The Causes Of Foul Smelling Urine In A Diabetic Child?

hi i have a 12 year old brother who has varoius health issues and his urine is smelling foul and strong he was diagnosed with borderline diabetes about 2 years ago, he seems to be drinking plenty of fluids especially milk. he also has aspergers and does not like going to the doctors so it is difficult to get him to go what could be the cause?

Hi, foul smelling urine in a diabetic child could be due to UTI (urinary tract infection). You need to do urine routine microscopy and culture test to confirm the diagnosis and for starting treatment. Till then give plenty of liquid to the child. Revert back with above reports. Take care.
