What Are The Chance Of HIV Infection Through IV Fluid?

Hello. My name is Milton. I'm a registered nurse. Yesterday I was reconnecting a patient back to her iv and I got saline splashed into my left eye from the tubing that was connected to her hep-lock. The patient had an hiv test done which came back inconclusive. what are my risk of contracting hiv?

hi,
As your paramedical staff, i suggest you to be very careful when you come across HIV positive patients. Chances of infection are high if you have cuts/abrasions over skin/mucous membrane to which patients body fluid comes in contact.
