What Are The Chances Of HIV Infection Through Protected Sex?

Hello doctor.... I will keep it little brief... i had protected sex with a sex worker...i did not kiss her...it was a protected vaginal sex....after 5 days i felt sore throat....but it went away after se time....after 5 weeks i encountered cold and cough in summer season...which is not normal...and i am feeling really anxious about hiv...plz help

Chances of getting HIV infection is minimized after protected sex. However, i suggest you to get screening test for HIV. The test can be repeated after one month. In the meanwhile, I suggest you to abstain from sexual activity or practice safe sex only.
