General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello
I have gone through your question and understand your concern. HIV can be transmitted through blood of HIV positive person but not through intact skin, when in doubt it is better to undergo test to detect HIV antibodies in blood or serum. Wait for at least 6 weeks and take the test, if the result is negative repeat the test after 3 months. If the result is negative for the second test repeat the test after 6 months to confirm the results.

Good luck. Hope your concern is answered. Thank you.
