What Are The Chances Of STD Transmission Through Protected Sex?

Dear doc, I had sex with a prostitute 2 days ago and I did out on condom but is not fully erected when putting on the condom but the penis head is cover and when after ejection the condom did not slip off or break. Because I saw the sperm is in the tip and the condom is still on my penis. So am I safe. Do I need to test for std or hiv. Thanks. No oral sex is done too.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello. Going to a prostitute has high risk of acquiring STD or HIV. As mentioned by you; the condom was in place but not completely covered.... There could be chance of infection. I will suggest you to wait for 2 months and then get HIV test done. Usually the tests aren't reliable in the initial few weeks.

The condom should cover the penis completely before Intercourse. One important thing I want to tell you is that the secretions from vagina can also be infective.... So be careful next time. Any more questions.... You can get back to me. Regards
