What Are The Chances Of Fertility After Partial Hysterectomy?

I am 29 years of age, I have two daughters and would like a son. I have had a partial hysterectomy (tubes and uterus), I was also put through Depo Lupron treatment 5 years ago for endometriosis. My question is, are my eggs any good. With a surrogate can I still reproduce?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
Welcome,
I understand your concern.
Your ability to produce egg will depend on your hormone profile.
As you said you have undergone partial hysterectomy & ovaries are left intact. You have not mentioned why you have undergone this operation.
You should get your hormone profile done which should include measurement of FSH, LH and prolactin. If they are fine then chance of ovaries producing eggs are high. And you can go for surrogacy.
Hope this will be helpful.
Take care.
