What Are The Chances Of Getting Strep B Due To Sex?
I've been diagnosed with Strep B. I've had this before. My question....is my husband at risk for getting Strep B when we are intimate? The only way that I can think of (as to how I'm getting this) is I'm very dry down below due to Menopause. (Yes I've used lubricant), and I have the steriod cream but don't use it like I should. Do you think that due to the pain during intercourse etc may be the cause of the Strep B.? Thanks!
Streptococcus b may get transmitted by sexual contact. You should not worry much about your husband as in healthy adult males without any other diseases it rarely cause any harm.
Also this bacteria is also normally present gut of both male and female so it can contaminate other body parts. So sexual contact is not the only way.
Pain during intercourse may be due to dryness. You should use lubricant and need not to worry about it.
I hope this will help you. Take care.
