What Are The Chances Of Getting Pregnant After Having Sex During Periods?

Hello , I had a unprotected sex with my wife on fifth day of her bleeding. She generally has a 29-30 days cycle.she has got some problem within her stomach and has used few hormones before one year. From then the periods are quite regular.but now it has been 40 days she didn t get her periods till now. I am worried please help me. Is it possible to get pregnant when we have it during periods.what are the chances of getting pregnancy.

Hello,
I can understand your problem. Pregnancy depends on ovulation, this can some times happen during periods also. more over sperms can survive two to three days in a female so if the ovulation had occured on 6th or 7th there is still a chance. But the chances are rare though.
Since it is day 40 i would suggest a urine pregnancy test done at home. If negative and your wife doesnt get period kindly repeat the test next day or get an ultrasound to confirm.
