Hello
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
Marvellon is not recomended as an
emergency contraceptive pill.
SO there are no studies documenting its efficacy in preventing against
pregnancy.
In general, when taken within 120 hours of
unprotected intercourse, the emergency contraceptive pill ( ECP ) offers more than 80 % protection against pregnancy.
When taken within 24 hours, it has more than 95 % protection against pregnancy.
Also the ECP has one notorious side effect, it messes up the normal menstrual cycle.
It can prepone or postpone your normal cycle by a week or more, upto 10 days sometimes.
SO most likely, the menstrual delay is due to the ECP that has been taken.
Also, stress,
anxiety, weight gain etc . can also cause absence of periods.
Thyroid hormone dysfunction, PCOS etc are other causes.
To be reasonably sure, just take a pregnancy test 3 weeks after the episode of unprotected sex.
You have taken a urine test too soon.
Please take a pregnancy test 2 weeks later also to conclusively rule out a pregnancy.
All the best.
Take care.
