What Are The Chances Of Miscarriage In A Normal Pregnancy?

Hi, i am 28 years old, lost a baby late in pregnancy 6 years ago due to a clot on the wall of my uterus, but had a healthy baby girl 2 years later. I am now just 8wks pregnant, everything is going good, can you tell me what are the chances of losing again as i can't stop worrying about it. Thank you.

Hello,
thanks for the query

About 13 to 20 pregnancies out of 100 will be complicated by spontaneous abortions. The causes are varied and over 50% of such spontaneous abortions are due to chromosomal abnormalities. In such cases, the abnormalities are non compatible with life and its nature's own way of terminating them. However, in pregnancies without any underlying defect, the incidence is much lower.

Worrying would not do you good especially now that you are pregnant. You need to have a calm mind and live healthily as that is what you rather need.

Hope this helps you.
