What Are The Chances Of Normal Delivery Based On Doctors Report?
At my 21week ultrasound doctor detects a placenta:posterior.its inferior limit is located 12mm superior to the internal os.it shows ahomogenous echopattern:grade 1. Wants to know the chances of normal delivery.and precaution for normal delivery in my case.
Hi.there are chances of normal delivery in your case. Placenta grade 1 maturity is normal at this stage and what you see reaching near os may not remain till you reach term pregnancy.. This is called migration of placenta. By 28 weeks or so the placenta may migrate in up quite away from os. So your dr. will guide you accordingly. You need to take precautions right now, like avoid intercourse, No internal ex.(P/V) for any reason and don't travel alone. Once placenta is seen away in next scans don't worry. Yes, you should maintain your Hb above 11 gm and know about the availability of blood of your group. Thanks.
