What Are The Chances Of Ovarian Cyst Turning Cancerous?

Do ovarian cyst turn cancerous? I have had one now for 2 years. I had an altra sound. my dr. called to give me the results today but I didn t get to talk with her. I am all worried now as I won t heae from her till Monday. what is the treatment to remove it?

Chances of ovarian cysts turning into cancer are very small and depends on the histopathological type.
Ovarian cyst removed by laparoscopic cyst removal.
Chances of malignancy are comparatively high in mucinous tumours than in serous tumours but it can only be assessed by doing histopathological examination of the cyst.
