I have my left Fallopian tube removed October 2014 and now I haven t got my period this month. I am 10 days late and have taken 13 pregnancy test and they were all negative. I did bleep for a hour 8 days ago but that was it. I had sex 3 weeks ago. No protection but he pulled out and cam on the bed. Is there a chance?
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. You need to be evaluated for delay in periods. Pregnancy chances out rightly decreases by 50% when one Fallopian tube is removed. However, for pregnancy to happen, you need the other tube to be patent. Pregnancy is possible even if the semen is not ejaculated inside as the pre-ejaculate fluid contains sperms which are capable of fertilization. Since you haven't got your periods and need to know waht could be the reason, kindly get the following tests done: 1. beta-HCG levels in serum. 2. Trans-vaginal ultrasound scan (TVS). These investigations will give a clue for what could be the reason for delay in getting your periods. Kindly consult Gynecologist with reports for appropriate management. Hope the information provided would be useful. All the best.
