What Are The Chances Of Pregnancy After Taking Plan B?

I had unprotected sex with my partner last month and he did not cum inside of me at all, but I still know that pregnancy is possible through pre-ejaculation fluids, so I took Plan B withing 24 hours. I got a second period about 3 days after taking the pill. I was wondering if there is still a chance I am pregnant.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI,
Welcome to HCM,
I read your query and i appreciate your concern regarding this issue.

To be pregnant, 2 criteria should be fulfilled:
1. Fusion of sperm with ovum to form a fertilized ovum.
2. Implantation of the fertilized ovum in the Uterus.
As per details there was no ejaculation and you took emergency contraceptive so there are less chances of pregnancy.
There was withdrawal bleeding as well so no chance of pregnancy.

There is no need to worry, you can wait till you get your periods.
If they are delayed more than three weeks, a Pregnancy test can be done to confirm it.
In case of pregnancy, it will give a positive result within one week.
I will suggest you to avoid unprotected intercourse if you do not want pregnancy.
In case of overdue of your cycle, go for pregnancy test and consult with your Gynaecologist.

Hope so it will be helpful.
You can write again in case of any query or follow up.
Wish you good health.
Regards
