What Are The Chances Of Pregnancy Having Intercourse On The Ovulation Day?

Hi Doctor, I was asked to go for follicular study on the 12th day of my cycle, as i had PCOD... on 12 the day the specialist mentioned that the follicle is already big and will take only one more day for it to release an egg... on 13th day she did a transvagival scan and told me that ovulation has already happened. I had intercourse with my husband on 12th night. My doubt, is all about will this result in pregnanacy, as i had sex 1 day before ovulation or on the same day ( which im not sure of). Kindly help me on this as im desperately looking for a baby dust.....(The size of the follicle was 24x18mm in size on 12th day...Please let me know when the foliicle would have ruptured being at this size...

As you mentioned that the side of dominant follicle was 24x18 mm on the 12th day . As far as known to me size of follicle should be around 19 to 20 mm on day 14-15 at least to rupture and endometrium thickness must be around 11 mm to CONCEIVE.
In your case (as you are already having pcod) the size was 24 x18 mm on 12th day and this is disturbing because size was full ( rather over ripe ) and your gynecologist mentioned that ovulation occurs on 13th day . Sex was on the night of 12th , so chance of pregnancy is full ( provided ovulation occurs on 12th or 13th days).
In my opinion if you are very eager then go for hormonal study for confirmation of pregnancy ,otherwise wait for menses date ( late date and get in pregnancy test after 7 days of period i.e. late) .
