hello doctor im 27 yrs i came to know dat i have a problem in egg formation so no egg formation is seen even thou i have regular periods , contiously after 3 months blood test e2 n fsh reports are not postive so doctor advised me to go tru egg donor so dat i can conceive bt my husbnd is ignoring for dat process plz guide me any alternative sol. m taking regestrone for 20 days , prognan tab , ovares- sr, concieva-m

Hi,

1. It must be remembered that we have to treat the cause (PCOD) and not the symptom (irregular periods). Although medicine can correct irregular periods, it will not help you get pregnant unless you correct the pathology. For that, the following is my opinion:

1. Also make sure to exclude low thyroid (hypothyroidism), since can be cause and effect of one other

2. Avoid fatty food, curd, late night work, soybean, milk, mustard oil, cabbage and take moong (green) dal, saindhav namak, rice/coconut water, vegetable soups

3. I sincerely ask you to consult a gynecologist or Endocrinologist ( for any anatomical defect or hormonal deficiency).

4. Remember very very few couples require sophisticated techniques like test tube baby etc. but a large number of couples require just a few drugs, proper sex counselling and sex education and reassurance.
