What Are The Chances Of Pregnancy With Faint UPT And Missed Period?
My wife is 24 years old. She had a missed period this time and a urine pregnancy test was done which showed a line not too strong as control. It cannot be considered as faint also, the intensity is somewhere between faint and strong. Supposing it to be too early for HCG levels, repeated the test with the first passed urine 2 days later on. This time the line was little bit better than the previous but not strong. She has a regular menstrual cycle(28 days), not on any medications and healthy enough. Whats the likelihood for being pregnant? Any other possibilities
Hello, Home pregnancy tests read well when performed with a fresh early morning sample of urine, 3-7 days after the missed period. If repeated tests cannot read well, you can go for the estimation of the serum beta-hCG titres, which are very sensitive and can detect lower levels of hormone and thus, are confirmatory. A trans-vaginal sonogram done a week after the missed period is additional help and if pregnancy has happened, will help to locate the sac and the viability. Hope you find this information useful. Take care.
