What Are The Chances That A New Born Baby Will Contract Chicken Pox From A Suffering Family Member?
Hi Sasi, Thank you for your query on Healthcare Magic. There are chances of getting chickenpox by the child if mother is not immune to chickenpox. If mother is immune to chicken, the antibodies will transfer to baby and protect the child against chickenpox approximately till the age of 1 year. Prevention is to isolate the chickenpox and to serve him in a separate room. In children, chickenpox is mild and usually subside within 1 week to 10 days. Hope I have answered your query. Regards.
