Hello. Thank you for your time. I recently had a CT of the abdomen and pelvis. There were, two questionable cysts on my liver. I had a repeat CT with contrast showing 9mm. anechoic structure in the right lobe ( ?.cyst) and a 1.9 cm. hyper heroic area in the porta pelvis region. What are your thoughts? I see the surgeon next, week, prior To having surgery to repair an epigastric hernia.
Hi and welcome to Healthcaremagic. Thank you for your query. I am Dr. Rommstein, I understand your concerns and I will try to help you as much as I can. These dont look suspicious and this is probably hemangioma but if you have any doubts you should do MRI scan for better evaluation. The second one, 1.9cm is questionable and it may present lymph node or some cystic tumor, it should be reealuated by scanning, check tumor markers and see gastroenerologist for further steps. I hope I have answered you query. If you have any further questions you can contact us in every time. Kindly regards. Wish you a good health. DR. Ivan Rommstein
