What Are The Dangers Of Long Term Use Of Prilosec Taken For Heartburn ?
I have heartburn which is relieved by a daily dose of Prilosec, what are the dangers of long term use of this drug? I also take Linsinopril/Hct and Zocor and synthroid and Allegra every day. I have stopped Priolsec and the heart burn returns. Thank you
hi, Prilosec is generally considered safe on long term usage, when used with some gaps in between. It may however make your gut susceptible for infections by reducing the protective acidity. Rarely, bone weakening may happen over long term usage and may increase chances of fractures. all the best.
