Hello
Thanks for writing to us with your health concern.

With a positive test line on the true blue, you are definitely pregnant.
Now remains the question of your spotting / bleeding.
There could be various possibilities for this -
1. A normal ongoing intrauterine pregnancy with mild spotting.
Mild spotting / bleeding occurs in some normally progressing pregnancies.
Since the bleeding is not heavy and not associated with cramps / pain, this is a likelihood.
2. A miscarriage, already happened or imminent / chemical pregnancy.
This is when you have conceived but for some reason a miscarriage has occurred or is likely to occur.
In this scenario the bleeding would intensify and some amount of pain and cramping would follow.
3. An ectopic pregnancy or a vesicular mole - these are deviations from the normal pregnancy and result from pregnancy outside the uterus, or an abnormal intrauterine pregnancy.

To differentiate between these 3 possibilities, the next step is a combination of two investigations -
The first is a pelvic transvaginal ultrasound scan.
The second is Blood B HCG levels.
These two values in conjunction will clarify what is going on.
Meanwhile, if you bleed heavily, expel fleshy masses or feel excruciating pain with cramps, go the ER immediately.

All the best
Take care.
