What Are The Effects Of Chicken Pox And Tooth Abscess During Pregnancy?
I am 11 weeks pregnant and my tooth is abcessed and I have the chicken pox. It is a good indiciation that both of these together have caused defects or harm to my baby, isn t it? I keep thinking I should just terminate the pregnancy because tests won t show me all the birth defects if there is any and with my life style, I could not handle or care for a child with special needs.
Hello... I can understand your concern very well...I want to enlighten you that not always chickenpox during pregnancy will affect your baby's growth...tooth abscess is also not that much serious which affect greatly to your growing child...unless you have taken few medications without consulting a doctor.... As you are only 11 weeks pregnant, You can also go for fetal anomaly scan at 14th to 16th week to rule out any possibilities of major fetal anomaly... So I would suggest you not to terminate pregnancy, because every pregnancy is precious unless you are not ready for it... So consult few good gynecologists and follow their guidance rather than directly going for termination... Hope this will help you to rethink about your decision..
