What Are The Findings From The Liver Function Test While Suffering From Dengue Fever?

SGOT- Aspartate Transaminase (AST): 183 * SGPT- Alanine Transaminase (ALT): 106 * Gamma Glutamyl Transferase: 52 * Globulin: 3.6 * A.G. ratio 1.1 * Rest parameters are normal, during that test I was suffering from Dengue fever. I am fine, Please advise.

Thank you for your query. The results indicate there is elevation of the liver enzymes (about 3-5 times the normal value), which signifies mild liver injury. Now since dengue virus infection is associated with some degree of liver injury, this result is expected.
Please be assured, this will be cleared on its own with resolution of dengue and its effects.
