I am male 67 years non diabetic non HT. My lipid profile consistently showed raised triglyceride and I have been advised aTab. Atorastatin three years ago. 10 mg daily for one year and 5mg now since 2 years. My lipid profile is normal now. Are there any harmful effects of regular use of this drug? YYYY@YYYY
Understanding your concern. As you mention in your query that u have been taking atorvastatin for last 2 years .In long term use of astorvastatin some complications has been reported like weakness in muscles ,memory loss and raise in blood sugar level.
I would suggest you that if your lipid profile is normal ,you should consult your doctor tell him about lipid profile .Doctor may ask you to discontinue the drug.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
