i placed some beef cubes in hot oil in a frying pan and about 10 or so seconds later, noticed that the packing material directly under the beef cubes had also fallen in and the edges were melted by the time i got it out...is the meat dangerous to eat now? the material looks like a combination of plastic/paper...the edges on 3 sides were melted...

mixed beef and pork should not create anyproblem. in raw form both can have tape worm problem tenea solium or sginata.soit depends on quality of preserved meat.
