What Are The Interactions Between Cardizem, Lasix And Eliquis?

I have been healthy all my life and taken no drugs. Recently I(age 73) experienced Afibrillation and congestive heart failure out of the blue. The cardiologist gave me Cardizem, (which helped), Aetnolol, Lasix, and Eliquis. I am wondering about the interactions?

Hi! I have gone through your question and I understand your concern.

I would say that's using these medication together may increase the risk of having the side effect that each drug have it that would be taken alone .
I will write you the possible interaction between these drug .
-The interaction diltiazem (cardizem)-atenolol- ( Both medication affect the heart and blood vessels ,atenolol the lungs Also.:

Fatigue, headache , shortness of breath , chest pain , swollen legs with weight gain , irregular heartbeat , fast or slow heart beat

-The interaction Atenolol- furosemide is that they low blood pressure and slow your heart rate, so you will experience the symptoms :Dizziness, fainting, weakness,irregular heart beat.

-The interaction Diltiazem ( Cardizem)-Apixaban
(Eliquis) : The interaction consist in the fact that diltiazem increases the blood levels of Apixaban in result you may have a high risk of bleeding complications. Be aware of you have any of these symptoms : bruising, anusual bleeding,red or black stools,lightheadness, weakness.

I would suggest to measure you blood pressure , heart beat every day ,check your platesls account every 3 month.If you have any of the symptoms that I mentioned call immediately your doctor , he will do the changes of the medications.
