What Are The Long Term Effects Of Deviry?

I have PCOD. Age 29 height 5.1 and I am taking deviry 10 mg tablet for last 8 years.I takle one forth of one 10mg deviry and then within 5days I get my period otherwise I won t have my period.I want to know if I continue this tablet is it going to effect my fertility?

Thanks for choosing healthcaremagic,
in my opinion you need to take tablet deviry in order to maintain your monthly cycle, it is just a natural hormone progesterone, that you need for having periods regular, BUT remember that progesterone does not help you with ovulation, in order to maintain fertility, you need to take other methods that can help you ovulate which include medical treatment and other interventions. If you continue this tablet alone then it will act as a contraceptive, but as mentioned earlier if you use ovulation induction methods as advised by your doctor this deviry will help to maintain your pregnancy once your have conceived.
