What Are The Long Term Effects Of Taking The Medicine, Seroquel?
My Mom is 89 years old and is a nursing care facility. she has been taking 25 mg of Seroquel which has helped her tremendously! Now they are saying that there is a law that she can only be on the medication for a certain period of time. she has had no side effects. also she has been on the medication for over 9 months. Is there a reason to take her off??

Low blood pressure, feeling dizzy, and/or increased heart rate, especially when standing up
Fatigue, sedation, dry mouth, agitation, increased appetite, constipation
2. Rare Side Effects
Quetiapine may increase the blood levels of a hormone called prolactin.
Side effects of increased prolactin levels include females losing their period, production of breast milk and males losing their sex drive or possibly experiencing erectile problems.
Long term (months or years) of elevated prolactin can lead to osteoporosis, or increased risk of bone fractures.
